Cruise and Stay

You don't have to choose between a hotel and a cruise, many people do both. Perhaps a few days in Barcelona, Malaga, Rome or Venice, then a week's cruise visiting other places of interest in the Med.

For the more adventurous, how about a few days in Vancouver then a cruise to Alaska. You can even take a trip on the Rocky Mountaineer train that takes you from Alberta to the coast of British Columbia.
